Complaint sent to letting agent re Flytipping

Yesterday, we received numerous reports that the man with the pushchair had been seen on Regent Street, Wellington.
He had been seen dumping items down an alley way near the football ground.

Those who saw him contacted the police. We also notified Telford & Wrekin Council that more items had been dumped and advised to arrange collection.

Today, we sent a message to the letting agent who manage the property where this man lives. Please see our message that we sent to them below:

Good morning,
Trust you are well.
I am a coordinator of the neighbourhood watch scheme in Arleston, Telford. I have been advised that a property on Watling Street is being managed by your lettings company.

We are being inundated with complaints from residents of our community about a man who goes around with a pushchair & collects items from peoples gardens. This man has been doing this for months now. He was originally seen in March doing this.

We appreciate he may've been out of the area for sometime. However, he has started to go around the area again and trespass on people's properties. The police have been contacted numerous times about this man. They are fully aware of the problems this man causes.

The council are aware too. This man takes any item that he can and will then dump it round the back of the property that he is renting, or he dumps it in other areas of Arleston or Wellington. The tenant has become a real nuisance to our neighbourhood. We want this stopped as a matter of priority.

We will continue to work with the police and the council if we have to. However, we have now decided to get you involved as the lettings agency that this man deals with. Surely the owner of the property does not want their home being run down in this way? That's if they are aware of what is going on?

There has been a massive problem with rats due to the amount of stuff that he has dumped. Although the area in which the property is located on isn't as bad as what it was, this man is clearly back to his old tricks and has been seen numerous times within the last week.

We are asking you as a community to act swiftly in trying to bring this to an end.

Please see photo evidence that we have been sent from residents who have seen this man dumping stuff within our community.

This is the response that we have received from the letting agency

Let's hope that we soon see something being done to put a stop to this man and his antics

Please remember to report any instances of flytipping to Telford & Wrekin Council via the "Everyday Telford" App. Any sightings of this man trespassing or taking items from people's bins or gardens, please report to the Police via 101.

Thank you for your continued support
