Conclusion

So as you can see, crime is of a great concern to those who live in Arleston.

We hope that with the launch of our local scheme, that we will be able to come together as a community and work together to make our neighbourhood a safer place to live. If you, have any ideas that you would like to submit to us for consideration, please get in touch.

Anti social behaviour was a major worry for residents in August. Since August, we have worked with residents, the police and the local council. Instances of anti social behaviour did start to decrease. However, we are seeing a slight increase again recently. We would like to remind residents to report any instances of crime that they witness. Please call 101 in the event of a non emergency or 999 in the event of an emergency. You can also report any instances of crime on the West Mercia Police Website or via Crimestoppers.

We are aware that there are reasons as to why we are seeing acts of anti social behaviour on our streets. We will continue to work with the local police and Cllr Angela McClements to look at ways in which we can try to reduce anti social behaviour on our streets.  We also hope that parents will also join us in looking for solutions too.

Drugs is also of a major concern too. A house was raided earlier this month and the police found a cannabis farm with approx street value of £150k. If you suspect a house near you is being used to grow or store drugs, please make a note of any suspicious activities at the property.

We are aware that drugs are a big problem across the country. However, we want to do all we can to help reduce the amount of drugs being used or sold within our area. Please report any instances of drug dealing that you may witness within our neighbourhood. Let's get drugs off our streets which in turn will help to make our neighbourhood a safer place to live

When reporting any crime, please give as much detail as you can. Confirm the location, details of any vehicles being used, description of those involved. Date and time of when offence(s) took place.

We advise that you call the police first to report a crime. If you think that the neighbourhood should be aware of what you have witnessed, please send us a message to let us know what has happened. Please include, date & time, location, description of those involved & type of crime.

Looking to the future

We want to make our neighbourhood a safer place to live just like you do. However, in order to achieve this, we all need to come together as a community.

As a scheme we would like to:

Reduce / prevent local crime and disorder

- Reduce fear of crime

- Address issues relating to antisocial behaviour

- Create safer neighbourhoods

- Build community spirit and cohesion

- Reassure members of the public

- Enhance partnership working with other community groups

- Assist in the detection and apprehension of criminals through members providing information to the police

- Improve quality of life and the local environment
