Good result for our local officers
Several reports have been received recently regarding reports of a male walking around the Randlay area, knocking on doors and requesting money. The male has told several different stories to residents ranging from needing to see an ill relative to being the victim of a burglary.
Whilst we appreciate it can be difficult when faced with someone telling you that they need help, please do not give money to anyone that you don't know or approaches your house in such circumstances.
If your house is approached, please contact the Police. Likewise if you see anyone knocking on doors in your street and you are concerned for vulnerable residents then please, let us know.
The Nedge Local Policing Team are looking to identify this male who has been described as; Male of Asian ethnicity, between 30-40 years of age with a gold tooth.
We need your help
We have been made aware that off road bikes are being used around our local area. These off road bikes should not be riden within public areas. They cause damage to our local environment, they are very noisy when being riden at high speeds. These bikes can cause damage but there is also a risk to pedestrians and other road users if they are used in a public area.
We need your help in putting a stop to these bikes from being used within our community. Should you witness one of these off road bikes being used within Arleston, please call 101 immediately. This will then give the police the opportunity of trying to locate the vehicle and the person riding it.
Please provide the following information when you call 101
⭐ Date & time of off road bikes being used
⭐ Description of the bike(s)
⭐ Description of the riders
⭐ Where you saw or heard them
⭐ Which direction did you see them head towards?
We cannot stress enough how important it is to report any information about these bikes being used.
If you are concerned about providing information for any reason, please be assured that you can remain anonymous in reporting information to the police.
Thank you for your co-operation

Parking concerns
We have received several concerns from residents about the way in which vehicles have been parked.
The roads where parking is of concern are as follows:
Bayley Road
Churchill Road
Elmwood Road
Hayes Road
John Broad Avenue
Bayley Road continues to be an area of concern especially when vehicles park on the bend near junction of Dawley Road. There have been several near misses due to parked vehicles being parked in this way. Therefore, can we please remind all residents not to park on this corner of Bayley Road.
Please consider oncoming traffic and traffic that may have their view restricted by the way in which a vehicle is parked. There has already been one fatality on Bayley Road, we would like to prevent any further accidents from taking place.
If you become aware of a vehicle being parked on this bend or on any other road where it is causing an obstruction, please call 101. Please advise where the vehicle is located and the potential risk that the vehicle is causing.
Please also consider where you park your car. Please do not block any driveways. Please do not park your car on the pavement or up on a kerb which may cause problems for other road users or pedestrians.
We appreciate that there are more cars per household these days and homes in the area were not built to provide parking spaces for every car. Therefore, please show courtesy to other residents, road users and pedestrians and park your vehicle appropriately. If you have access to a personal driveway or an allocated space, please use it.
Let's all do what we can to ensure that parking does not continue to be an issue. Please also consider how you park as emergency vehicles may need to attend a household in an emergency.
Thank you for your understanding
