We recently shared a survey on behalf of West Mercia Police about the use of off road bikes.
We wanted to invite our fellow neighbours to report any information via the survey about the use of off road bikes within our community.
We know that several of you completed the survey. So we would like to pass on the thanks from West Mercia Police for taking part
As you will see, as a result of the survey there has been some positive results.
Thank you for taking part
Our recent survey
We have recently met with our local officers to discuss crime that is happening in our area.
The police are fully aware that some suspicious activities or crimes may go unreported and that isn't helpful.
Therefore, we have put a survey together for residents to complete about how they feel about reporting crime.
We would appreciate if our scheme members, our social media followers and our fellow neighbours, would kindly complete the survey. You can access it via the link below
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8G88DJM
The responses that we receive, will help us to understand how many people are reporting crime. How many people are not reporting. It will also provide information on which channels people would prefer to use in reporting crime.
One participant who has already completed the survey, has given us some great feedback. As a result, we have passed this on to West Mercia Police.
As you will see, the suggestion made by a resident is now being looked in to by the national team!
It would be great if photos and videos of evidence could be uploaded online when reporting crimes to our local constabulary.
If you have any feedback about the reporting system, please let us know and we will feed it back for you!
Reporting suspicious activities or crime
We would like to remind everyone that it is really important that any instances of suspicious activity or crime are reported to the police.
If crime goes unreported, the police will not be aware that there is a problem within our neighbourhood. They will assume that everything is OK, when it is clearly not.
Regardless of the amount of information you may have about a crime or suspicious activity taking place, it may be just the piece of the jigsaw that the police may be looking for.
For example, a resident reports that their house has been broken in to. They report it to the Police. A neighbour witnessed someone acting suspiciously near the property but didn't report it. If the neighbour had reported what they saw to the police, it may help the police to identify those responsible.
So, please be vigilant. Please report anything to the police as and when you become aware of it. Don't leave crime or suspicious activities unreported. Please report it as soon as you can either by calling 101, or reporting online. Alternatively, you can report via www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111
Scam Warning
Our coordinator was sent a message by someone on Facebook this afternoon.
If you receive any messages of this nature, please report them to action fraud.
Do not become a victim
Unattended Fires
Please do not leave fires unattended.
Not only is it dangerous to leave them unattended as the fire could spread to other areas. It can cause damage to other people's properties and vehicles.
In respect of this regular occurrence at a house in Forester Grove, we are doing all that we can to make local authorities aware.
